Changes in the domestic automotive market are revealed more through gaps between power sources and brands than through overall sales growth rates. Based on the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's provisional data for January through July and August import car data, this article analyzes the expansion of electric vehicles (EVs), the sustained scale of hybrids, and Tesla's concentration on the Model Y. Cumulative growth and short-term fluctuations are distinguished using year-over-year comparisons by power source, registration comparisons by model, and a three-month trend graph by brand.
